Meanwhile the attached Western Sydney Conference Centre has a seating capacity for 1,000 guests and can transform from a mixed rooms layout to a single-room set-up, with a column-free design and 6.8 metre-high ceilings. The centre also offers outside space in the form of a terrace and central lawn.

The development is situated about 15 minutes north of the forthcoming Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) airport – the first phase of which is expected to open by December 2026.

Qantas Group recently committed 15 aircraft to the new airport, which will operate domestic routes to destinations including Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Commenting on the opening Accor’s Pacific chief executive officer, Sarah Derry, said:

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Pullman Sydney Penrith. This stunning hotel is a magnificent addition to our portfolio and showcases the essence of Pullman’s brand promise, offering an innovative and elevated experience combining comfort, and intuitive service.

“With its prime location in Penrith, guests can expect a unique experience that combines the tranquillity of the Blue Mountains with the vibrant energy of Sydney. We are confident that Pullman Sydney Penrith will elevate the hospitality landscape in the region and provide an unforgettable stay for both business and leisure travellers.”

Last month Accor announced a renewed push of its Pullman brand, envisaging it to become the global business hotel brand to cater to the post-Covid workforce, the new generation of business travellers, multi-hyphenates (people with multiple different jobs) and digital nomads.
