NH Hotel Group and its majority shareholder Minor International have outlined plans to open 50 new properties between now and the end of 2024, adding more than 10,000 rooms to the group’s portfolio.
There are 27 hotels currently under development in Europe and the Americas, with highlights including NH Collection Frankfurt Spin Tower, NHow Lima, Anantara Convento Di Amalfi, Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort, NH Collection Milano Touring, NH Mexico City Reforma Centro and Avani Cancun.
Meanwhile in Asia a total of 23 properties are set to open under the NH Hotels, NH Collection, Nhow, Tivoli, Anantara and Avani brands.
The next two years will see the debut of the NH Hotels and NH Collection brands in the region, with forthcoming properties including the NH Boat Lagoon Phuket Resort and NH Collection Chiang Mai Ping River.
Commenting on the news Ramón Aragonés, CEO at NH Hotel Group, said:
“The cost control and management efforts made by the group in the last two years has allowed us to change the pace to take advantage of the synergies with Minor International and grow strongly in the world.
“The upper-upscale and luxury travel segments are proving to be particularly strong, and we have a very powerful and internationally consolidated combined offer.
“As Asian travellers join the world’s major tourist routes, we are in a position to offer them a differential brand architecture that is well known and appreciated internationally.”
