Joe Edward Poe, a broker dealer representative at Wilson-Davis & Co. Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of finance.
Leveraging over four decades of experience in his chosen field, Mr. Poe has earned distinction as a registered representative on behalf of Wilson-Davis & Co. Inc., a financial brokerage. Based in Salt Lake City, with satellite offices throughout the United States, Wilson-Davis has offered its customers the familiar atmosphere of a small company with the expertise of a giant financial institution since 1968. Since 2016, Mr. Poe has conducted the majority of stock trading at his office, primarily dealing with some 200 clients who have purchased large blocks of stocks from issuers. Having previously distinguished himself as a branch manager for several broker dealers, he also served as the owner of his own firm, Joe E. Poe and Associates Inc., between 1981 and 2013.
Prior to his work in the civilian sector, Mr. Poe served on behalf of the United States as a member of the U.S. Air Force between 1953 and 1977, during which time he is most proud to have affected a safe crash landing during the Vietnam War as the pilot of a C-130 Hercules. For his bravery during this incident, he received a Distinguished Flying Cross, as well as eight air medals and two meritorious service medals. Following this period, Mr. Poe was gratified to work as the executive director of the Oklahoma City Housing Authority, where he led the organization in building three senior centers and a great deal of additional housing.
Mr. Poe first studied at the Air Force Institute of Technology, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1963. Following this accomplishment, he received a master’s degree from San Diego State University.
