Bolstered by more than 35 years of experience, Mr. Eigenberg has cultivated a career of excellence in the fields of government and agriculture. Well-regarded for his patience and ability as a negotiator, he has served as the District Five county commissioner of Jackson County, Minnesota, since 2016. In this leadership role, he oversees various management tasks, primarily handling budgeting, building and personnel maintenance, and new employee hiring. Adjacent to his responsibilities as a figure in his local government, Mr. Eigenberg has also thrived as a grain farmer since 1987.

In his other career-related pursuits, Mr. Eigenberg previously operated as a board director for New Vision Co-op for nine years. Based in Brewster, Minnesota, the organization is known for providing farmers and other agricultural experts with a variety of services that aid in profitability and sustainability. Outside of his primary professional interests, Mr. Eigenberg has been recognized in his community as for his dedication to civic advocacy, regularly donating and volunteering with his local church.

Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Eigenberg pursued a formal education. After graduating from Heron Lake-Okabena High School, as part of the Heron Lake-Okabena School District #330, in 1985, he attended Worthington Community College (now Minnesota West Community & Technical College). Over the course of his collegiate career, he completed several years’ worth of coursework in agriculture production.

Throughout his career, Mr. Eigenberg has maintained the importance of giving back to his country. To wit, he has found a wealth of fulfillment in being able to serve the various communities in District Five of Jackson County, and he is fond of seeing citizens and families go about their daily lives. In light of his rewarding career, he has largely attributed his success to his dedicated work ethic and skill as a critical thinker. In the coming years, Mr. Eigenberg hopes to continue in his professional endeavors as the commissioner of his district.
