J. Michael Daniel, president and chief executive officer of Cyber Threat Alliance, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the cybersecurity industry.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience, Mr. Daniel is a proven expert in the field of cybersecurity. Since 2017, he has served as the president and chief executive officer of Cyber Threat Alliance, a nonprofit organization focused on providing the highest cybersecurity to the global digital ecosystem. As part of his duties in the field, Mr. Daniel specializes in developing and implementing various cybersecurity systems and software. To wit, he prides himself on delivering his company’s unique services to a variety of clients, from technical audiences to company executives.
Adjacent to his primary duties, Mr. Daniel has also worked with Chubb’s advisory board since 2021. Prior to his current leadership appointment, he excelled as a cybersecurity coordinator for the Executive Office of the President, as part of the National Security Council at The White House in Washington, D.C. from 2012 to 2017. Furthermore, he was a branch chief for the Office of Management and Budget from 2001 to 2012. At the onset of his career, Mr. Daniel operated as a research assistant at the Southern Center for International Studies between 1992 and 1993.
Before embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Daniel pursued a formal education, originally attending Princeton University and earning a Bachelor of Arts in public policy in 1992. He subsequently continued his studies at the Harvard Kennedy School and received a Master of Public Policy in national security in 1995. In conclusion of his collegiate career, Mr. Daniel achieved a Master of Science in national resource planning at the National Defense University in 2001. In addition to his academic credentials, he is also certified in Russian studies.
Well-regarded for his civic-minded attitude, Mr. Daniel has also participated as a co-chair for the Global Future Council on Cybersecurity, as part of the World Economic Forum, since 2023. Furthermore, he maintains his affiliated as a member of the Task Force for Trustworthy Future Web, Nonprofit Cyber, the Forbes Technology Council and the New York Cyber Task Force. To commemorate his achievements, he has been honored with numerous accolades throughout his career, most recently including a Leadership Award from the Baldridge Foundation in 2023. Accounting for his achievements, Mr. Daniel is particularly proud of his work during the Obama Administration.
