With more than 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Oddo has cultivated a fulfilling career working in the financial sector. Since 1999, he has served as the senior vice president of wealth management for UBS in Chicago, Illinois, where he specializes in assisting clients and customers with financial advisement. Prior to his current appointment, he excelled as the senior vice president of propriety trading for The Chicago Corporation from 1989 to 1999. At the onset of his career, Mr. Oddo operated as a futures trader for the Chicago Board of Trade between 1979 and 1989.
As part of his commitment to his profession, Mr. Oddo maintains his affiliation with several industry-related organizations, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Adjacent to his primary professional endeavors, he also remains active in his community as a civic-minded citizen, regularly participating and volunteering with The Children’s Oncology Group, the Geneva Lake Conservancy and the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Oddo pursued a formal education. He began his studies at DePaul University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 197. Subsequently continuing his collegiate career at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he later achieved a Master of Science in economics and quantitative economics in 1979. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Oddo completed the Series 7 and Series 63 exams from the NASD in 1989 and the Series 3 exam from the CTFC in 2000.
In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Oddo has largely attributed his success to his do right by others and assist in the financial field. Additionally, he enjoys creating lasting relationships with others, including his clientele, by performing his duties in an ethical manner. Well-regarded for his professional accomplishments, Mr. Oddo was named the Best in State Wealth Advisor by Forbes from 2020 to 2022, an achievement as a highlight of his career.
