Dwight Stoddard, Audit Manager at Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in auditing and accounting.

For more than three decades, Mr. Stoddard has provided superior service as an audit manager with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, commonly known as CareerTech, an agency of the state of Oklahoma based in Stillwater that oversees a statewide system of career and technology education comprising 29 technology center districts and 390 comprehensive school districts with adjunct skills centers that serve state correctional facilities as well as a juvenile detention facility. As part of his duties, he conducts audits of schools and related organizations in Oklahoma and writes reports of all the audits. He currently helps small businesses with their accounting issues.

Mr. Stoddard served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1994, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel, leading several thousand troops as a company, battalion and brigade commander and earning a Korean Service Ribbon, a National Defense Service Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals and three Armies of Validation Medals.

Mr. Stoddard initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1964 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He later earned a Master of Science in accounting in 1982 from Oklahoma State University. In what he considers to be a career highlight, he was recognized as an Oklahoma CareerTech Hall of Famer. In addition, he was presented with a Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of State Directors, National and Oklahoma Future Farmers of America VIP Awards, and the Arch Anderson Award recognizing CareerTech educators who have made significant contributions to the CareerTech System.

Mr. Stoddard attributes his success to his father who instilled a good work ethic. His military career also helped him and led him to accelerate promotions through the organization. His love for his job is also very important in his career. He is looking toward a well-deserved retirement in which he can indulge his love for fishing.
