Downey Marston, President at Monday Security Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in security construction and distribution.
Since 1966, Mr. Marston has excelled as president, chairman and chief executive officer with Monday Security Corporation, a premier bank security firm that also distributes safes, locksmith services and security systems such as alarms and cameras and enjoys a reputation as the last of the few remaining restoration companies for antique ornate vault doors and one of the last re-manufacturers of pre-owned banking equipment. He is recognized as a leading authority on antique vault doors and safes, is a master safe mechanic and vault door mechanic and a master installation engineer of large vault doors.
In the early 1990s, Monday Security merged with Commercial Design, a bank building company Mr. Marston had helmed since 1972, which gave the company the ability to furnish solutions to all possible requirements a bank might have from a safe deposit lock to a six-story building. From 1966 to 1968, Mr. Marston had served as district manager with Mosler Safe Company in St. Louis.
Sheer hard work has contributed to Mr. Marston’s great achievements and entrepreneurial success. As a career highlight, he is proudest of being selected by the state of Illinois to design and furnish a safe that would house and display Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Now in his eighties, in the immediate future Mr. Marston is planning to sell Monday Security and has received several offers for his company.
